PROCEMEX FLEX – Intelligent digital 1.3 million pixel camera technology

Procemex has developed a special 100% digital intelligent camera technology for filming the most demanding paper machine positions. This camera  can be used, e.g. for achieving higher accuracy for forming section problems, for  paper defects or for filming fast moving machine parts. It actually forms the backbone for web monitoring and web inspection systems.


Procemex Flex cameras can be integrated with all existing Procemex  installations.

  • Leading edge resolution with 1.3 million pixel (1280x1024)
  • Up to 500 images per second
  • 130 MHz data processing
  • DSP-based image processing & analysing inside the camera
  • On-line defect classification inside the camera
  • Super Circle-RAM-memory inside the camera
  • Visualization in grayscale or in color
  • PoE camera power supply (Power over Ethernet)
  • Image frequency can be synchronized with line speed (e.g. with rotating process parts creating a stroboscope effect)
